Cheeky Monkey are proud of the interactions of our members. We have a wonderful supportive and friendly community, and would like to keep it that way so we have decided that the best way for us, is to make sure that all of our members post regularly and know we have a few rules, which are vital to our community success. 1. Joining Requirements 1.1 As a requirement of joining Cheeky Monkey, you must post an introduction thread on The Welcome Mat so that we can meet you and get to know a bit about you! 2. Membership Requirements & Lurker Policy 2.1 We would like you to keep regular interactions with other Members. Members who dont post regularly, will be considered Lurkers and as this can make other members uncomfortable, we do not allow Lurking and this will result in a warning, then an account suspension. We feel the need to do this, as many of our subjects are sensitive issues and our members ask for a little privacy so they can feel comfortable posting here. Please offer them the respect of posting and not watching! Suspended accounts may be released, if you make contact with a Team member and let us know if there is a problem preventing you from posting. We are all busy mums so we do understand there are times you cannot visit as much as you would like! We dont expect much, but posting into topics that interest you will help our relationships grow and our community improve! 2.2 We require a valid email address at all times. Users who do not provide a valid email address, will be blocked from the site via their IP address. We record all IP addresses used to connect to this site. We also ask that all provided information is correct. Fake information may result in your profile being suspended until you contact a Team Member. As a user you agree to any information you have entered above being stored in a database. While this information will not be disclosed to any third party without your consent, the webmaster, administrator and moderators cannot be held responsible for any hacking attempt that may lead to the data being compromised. This forum system uses cookies to store information on your local computer. These cookies do not contain any of the information you have entered above; they serve only to improve your viewing pleasure. The e-mail address is used for confirming your registration details and password or details of new passwords should you forget your current one. Your email address may also be used to send notification of post updates should you require notification. 3. Board Policies 3.1 We ask that all members be offered common courtesys such as restraint from foul language, general manners, polite posting and we will not tolerate any flaming or aggression on these boards. 3.2 We ask all of our members to use their common sense and discretion when posting as we have members from all walks of life, financial situations, race and religion and all are welcome here. We provide a safe environment for all and will not tolerate racial, religious or other slurs against any persons. 3.3 While the administrators and moderators of this forum will attempt to remove or edit any generally objectionable material as quickly as possible, it is impossible to review every message. Therefore you acknowledge that all posts made to these forums express the views and opinions of the author and not the administrators, moderators or webmaster (except for posts by these people) and hence will not be held liable. You agree not to post any abusive, obscene, vulgar, slanderous, hateful, threatening, sexually-oriented or any other material that may violate any applicable laws. Doing so may lead to you being immediately and permanently banned (and your service provider being informed). The IP address of all posts is recorded to aid in enforcing these conditions. You agree that the webmaster, administrator and moderators of this forum have the right to remove, edit, move or close any topic at any time should they see fit. We ask that under no circumstances, members post links, images, video clips or any other media form of Pornographic Information, including but not limited to website links, documents or advertising. We do not accept or condone sexually explicit material, pornography or violent material under any circumstances. This will result in an immediate account suspension. 3.4 We do not allow posting on behalf, for any reason including the behalf of a member who has been suspended or banned from Cheeky Monkey. Should a member be in this situation, they may contact a Team Member, or Email The Site Admin to discuss this. We do not permit members to utillise forum posts, signatures, private messages or email for this purpose. 3.5 We ask that all threads remain originals. Please do not post multiple threads for the same thing in multiple forums. If you are in doubt, please post in the General Forum, or ask one of our helpful Team Members for advice. This includes Cross-Posting which refers to posting many duplicate posts, or linking to posts already started by members with the sole intention of increasing exposure to the post/idea. 3.6 We ask you to please post in English as English is the primary spoken language in New Zealand. This is out of respect to our country and our community as well as for your own benefit. We may be unable to help or advise, or even get to know you if we cannot understand what you are saying. 3.7 We ask that you keep your account and your account login details private. Your account is yours and you are responsible for it and any activity on it. If your account is misused, we will suspend the account and block your IP address. 3.8 We do not tolerate SPAM and take it very seriously. SPAMMERS will be subject to prosecution under New Zealand SPAM laws. We will provide your IP address and all submitted information to your ISP to trace the SPAMMER. 3.9 Member signature policy is that we have several options for you. Failure to adhere to this will result in a warning so that you may change it, then removal of the signature. You may have one of the following combinations; 2 Small Tickers and up to 4 text only links 4 Small Tickers (2 per line) and no text 1 Image Signature (maximum: height 400px and width 500px) 1 Image Signature (maximum: height 300px and width 500px) and 2 text only links below 4. Advertising and Media Policies Personal Products and Services are able to be directed at members through several mediums however, in respect to our members, we do not allow constant marketing, nor using our members as a target audience. Please read these conditions very carefully as not adhering to them may result in your account being suspended. 4.1 Commercial advertising of your own personal business only in signatures is allowed, but limited. Signatures may contain up to 2 links and 2 images - banner style images not exceeding 200px high and 600 px wide. Commercial banners in signatures must be static images. We do not allow corporate advertising in this manner. 4.2 We offer commercial advertising packages, for page advertising, banner adverts and forum sponsorship packages if you would like more exposure through Cheeky Monkey. Please contact our Marketing Team for more information on our packages and pricing. 4.3 Posting of links in our forums, to your personal business venture, or home business is only permitted when directly asked for. For example, If a member asks specifically for a place to purchase baby slings, we are more than happy for you to post a link to your online site (or telephone/email info) where that member can purchase a sling. Irrelevant or unsolicited links will be removed, you will be warned, then face suspension. Be clear, that this only applies to small businesses belonging to the member providing the link. Posting links on behalf of other members is not permitted. 4.4 Cheeky Monkey retain copyright on all materials posted here by our Team. Materials and resources from Cheeky Monkey may only be copied and reproduced with prior permission. Disregarding this may lead to copyright infringement action being taken. Cheeky Monky credit all external sources for information posted on this site by our Team. The Rules may change from time to time. Please check back often and enjoy the community here!
